Another day another open button down! This time I picked a chiffon top from American Apparel. I’ve had it for years, and when I worked for them I pretty much wore this top or the same in white everyday. 

Normally I am all for loose pieces so it’s a good contrast for this fitted dress. Plus makes it a slightly more conservative look! Clearly black and grey are my staples, even in summer. Normally chiffon is not my favourite fabric, since it doesn’t breath and tends to be delicate. However this one is oversized so that makes it more breezy, and it has stood the test of time by lasting 5+ years without a snag. 

I have a full week off before starting a new job (told you there were big changes at work) and am so excited. Didn’t think it was gonna happen like this but the stars have aligned in my favour! Will be taking full advantage of extra pool days, and having a flexible schedule for once to catch up with friends.  

Here’s to more days like yesterday. I feel like I’m on summer break again. Everyone who is  (or will be soon) I hope you enjoy as much as I will!
