fall preview

Fall is probably my favourite season to play around with colour. Each year mustard and burgundy come out in full force to celebrate the change in temperatures and autumn leaves. Oversized sweaters are a staple in my wardrobe, and this particular cut from Zara is among my most worn. Usually I go for neutrals (3/4 of my closet is grey/black/white) but last fall I was wearing this sweater in cream several times a week and wanted a back up. I still wear the cream one way more, but sometimes a girl needs some colour! You may have noticed I’m a big fan of getting two colours in something I love. Once I find something I pretty much wear to death, I check online for other colours going on sale and will pick them up if I’m still in love with the original at that point.

When I was in Italy on vacation, I kept seeing Italian women with really intensely patterned pants. The loose ones like this appealed to me the most and I found these for less than $20 at a touristy shop when I was cold. At the time I felt like I probably wouldn’t wear them at home, but once I figured out how to dress them up a bit I’ve been pulling them out whenever we get a cool day. I especially like them with heels and this bag.

Just a little fall preview from a cooler day we had…
