Right now is the weird twilight zone between seasons where you see pedestrians in everything from shorts and flip flops to winter coats. It’s freaking freezing in the morning and as soon as the sun goes down, but mid day and in the right light it’s almost like summer is still around. I’ve been trying to take some time and enjoy those brief moments while they last. I find (weather permitting) taking my work break outside or just sitting with a tea on my balcony can really improve my mood.
No sunshine for me this afternoon (as you can see in these photos), so sweater weather it is! As you know, I’m loving a good sweater layered over a dress at the moment. Something about it is just so easy and helps keep you warmer since you bundle up around your core. Oversized cozy knits like this one are my favourites – and since this one is made of cotton yarn it doesn’t have all the bulk of a thick knit wool and drapes nicely. I’m a little outside of my usual safe neutral colour pallet with this outfit, but if anything can inspire me to wear colours it’s the gorgeous leaves starting to fall outside.
Anyone in Vancouver knows the rain is coming, so make the most of the lovely dry + sunny bits whenever they appear!
