going grey

I love how chic and simple monotone looks are, so when I picked up this coat I decided to put one together using it as the main attraction. I know most girls are pros at wearing all black, but more and more I have been seeing all white, tan or grey outfits. I think these lighter looks stand out in a great way and can be just as easy to put together and wear as black. I tried to get as much consistency of colour between each piece I wore, but even with a lighter skirt and darker bag you still get the right effect.

This coat has been in the corner of my mind all season and I finally went for it last week. The longer length and slightly oversized fit are so cozy and the wool/cashmere blend is ridiculously soft. It’s not the warmest jacket on the market, but in Vancouver we are lucky enough 95% of the time to not need much thicker. Sorry Toronto folks, this would not hold up to that winter.

You guys know I’ve been wearing these boots a lot, and I especially adore how they look with the coat. Even when I’m not wearing all grey everything… You may have noticed with any little bit of sunshine or warm weather and I’m all over bare legs too. Days when I’m reminded of summer are the greatest!

Jacket: Aritzia, Sweater: Forever 21 (similar), Skirt: Aritzia (check out the photos under “looks we love” to see one of me from a past post!), Shoes: Ecco, Bag: Alexander Wang
