I have quite the collection of oversized or thick sweaters which I love to wear, but can’t fit comfortably under jackets. That’s a must for this time of year, when even a warm knit is not good enough on its own to stand up to the temperatures we’ve been having. Lucky for me, throwing your jacket over your shoulders can help keep in a bit more body heat no matter what crazy layers you have going on underneath. No more jamming and bunching your sleeves up in your coat!

It works best on days like today when the cold isn’t too bitter, since of course it isn’t as warm as having the coat all done up. Doesn’t keep you cozy, but I’ve noticed a lot of jackets being worn just on the shoulders to show off party dresses for the holidays.
