knits

Hard to believe this week is Christmas! You can barely tell by the weather, which has stayed pretty mild here in Van. Back home in Toronto I hear it’s going to be 13 degrees on the 24th, which makes an outfit like this about all you need this holiday season.

I love layering knits together to create a cozy look this time of year. This dress from Aritzia is one of my faves alone or under a big sweater, since I usually get cold if I don’t have a base to stop the wind. It’s the perfect work dress too since it’s a little bit longer.

Turtlenecks are my all time favorite because they really do keep you warm. I end up wearing them most of the fall and winter, especially with less substantial jackets like this leather one. This is a new sweater and I’m loving the blue/black knit, a little something different than my typical blacks and greys.

The other thing that stands out here is my white sneakers…on the dry days I can still get away with them and I love how they make every outfit look a little bit cooler. Same with a toque, which is also a good way to hide less then perfect locks. Or keep that body heat in at the dog park!

Sweater: c/o Alex Harper Co (on sale for $36), Jacket: Similar here, Dress: Aritzia, Shoes: Ecco, Toque: Dollarama (seriously…but similar here)
