More and more I have been drawn to comfort first while I’m getting dressed. This time of year being the busiest for me at work, on days off I just want to snuggle up on the couch and my clothes need to accommodate that. I’ve been putting on a ton of cozy knits, leggings and soft jersey tops which are ultra comfortable. Today was no exception, since I had a few post-holiday errands to run.
This open wool-blend cardigan has been on heavy rotation during any cold snap, but I just realized the color was perfect to layer under my caramel leather jacket. I purchased the coat on my 16th birthday, and it makes me smile to think I still have it since it was huge buy at the time. Though I haven’t worn it often in the past few years, I love how unexpected it is in a sea of its black counter-parts and how buttery soft the leather has stayed.
One of my favourite bottoms to wear when I’m feeling a little lazy are stretchy joggers. They are less revealing than leggings and look a little neater than sweats. Even when I’m dressing for comfort, I try to throw on a heeled boot to keep it from looking too casual. This cross body has been working overtime lately too – nothing beats hands free.
