I bought a new coat last November, and I can honestly say I loved wearing it. I felt chic, happy and warm every time I put it on this winter. Then all of that changed this month! With the sun shinning and blossoms popping up all over the place, I cannot help but push my jacket to the back of the closet. Unfortunately despite the flowers, it’s not really that warm so it is still easy to be underdressed without it. Luckily, some strategic layering is all you need to keep the cold at bay this spring.
If you must wear a dress, tights + thigh high boots are a good combo for keeping you cozy regardless. Knits are always best worn with another layer underneath, and stick with wool or wool blends if you can. Covering up your neck with a giant scarf is a great transitional way to stay warm, and worse case scenario you can wrap it around your shoulders if it gets really chilly.
A sleeveless blazer like this is perfect for in between seasons, since it’s not at all wintery but adds another layer around your core. This time of year it’s fun to break out of your usual winter jacket routine and begin to wear your favourite pieces from springs past. Whatever layers you choose, just don’t forget your sunglasses!
