As the fashion world loves to remind us, spring is the time for florals, pastels and all things feminine. It’s easy to get swept up in the sartorial splendour with the changing of the seasons, but it’s also unnecessary. You can welcome the warm(ish) weather in other ways, like by putting together clean neutral outfits or showing a touch of skin when the sun comes out.
A bright white knit is going to look fresh any time of the year, and this sweater is a staple in my wardrobe at least 3/4 seasons. Worn layered with a crisp dress shirt but without a jacket screams spring, particularly with this chambray circle skirt and bare legs! This is about as girlie as it gets for me.
I do indulge in a brighter pallet occasionally (or just stand in front of mauve walls), but neutrals will always be my fall back regardless of the season. What about you?
Skirt: American Apparel, similar from H&M (love the camel colour) Sweater: Zara, similar (with a really neat back), Booties: Ecco Shoes, Bag: Chloe
