One of the hardest things when it comes to packing is what shoes to bring. You want to look stylish, be comfortable and have something that goes with all your outfits. At the same time, they can be heavy and take up a ton of room. If you’ve already seen my carry on packing video, then you got a sneak peak, but here are the shoes I brought on vacation:
RUNNERS
I always bring a pair of runners. With athlesiure continuing to be in the forefront of fashion, you can go pretty far with a nice pair of kicks. I wear mine with everything. If I wasn’t going to be in the jungle, I would have brought something white like my Stan Smiths. Always wear the bulkiest shoes on the plane – for me this trip it’s these runners!
ATHLETIC SLIDES
I wear these a lot at home in the summertime. Athletic slides are just as easy to put on and chill as flip flops, but have become a lot trendier the past few years. These are great for by the pool or going to the beach.
COMFY SANDALS
It can be really hard to find a pair of sandals that doesn’t hurt your feet and still looks good. I love gladiator sandals but I have really wide feet and the straps usually end up doing some damage. The last thing you want on vacation are blisters…which is where these dreamy sandals come in! The uppers are a stretchy microfiber to prevent rubbing, and the yoga mat foot bed is more them comfy. I picked nude since it goes with everything.
BACK UP
One thing I have learned from going on many vacations to places that are hot + humid, is that your feet will swell. This can make comfortable shoes feel like death, and the best thing I’ve found is to rotate between a couple of pairs. Also, if something gives you blisters you can easily swap. I couldn’t find mine (they were an end of summer clearance item, but Sanuk makes a very similar two-strap sandal that’s probably more comfy anyways…
This post was made in collaboration with Sanuk, however all opinions are my own.
