best of may

Even though it might not feel like summer today,  June is here already. With time passing by so quickly this year, I thought it might be nice to mark the end of each month by sharing a list of what I wore most, any big news or whatever else I’m obsessing over. Let me know if you’d like to see this as a regular feature in the comments!

Neck Scarves

This month has been all about the neck scarf as an easy way to accessorize nearly any outfit. They make me feel instantly polished, and I just can’t get enough. I’ve also been knotting them around the handle of my bags when they don’t make it around my neck.

Thrift one or get this affordable version from Zara

Slip Dress

Another style I have been wearing with everything this month. It’s goes over/under so much, is the comfiest thing to throw on and yet is elevated by the luxurious silk. Yesterday was really hot and wearing it alone was perfect. Gonna be a summer fave for sure, so much so that I’m thinking about getting another colour

The Beach

As you guys know, I spent the first week of the month in sunny Mexico. After I got back I was recovering from post-vacation blues when I discovered a friend had just booked an amazing sounding trip to Costa Rica. 48 hours later I bought my flight and will be heading to Puerto Vejo in October to take Spanish lessons, surf and hang at the beach some more. The countdown is on…

Smile

I’ve had Invisalign braces since last summer, and finally got them off in April. This month I finished my dental overhaul with lovely veneers to protect my chompers. I have been a terrible nighttime teeth grinder since I was a kid, and had worn away a shocking amount of tooth over that time. I didn’t think there would be this much of a visual difference as I wasn’t doing it for cosmetics, but I love my new teeth!

10 K

This month I made it to 10,000 followers on Instagram. I’ve been slowly building a following on there, and it’s incredible to see my page grow that much and be able to collaborate with some awesome brands along the way. Thanks for all the love.

Rings on Rings

I haven’t always been a jewellery person, but I’ve collected a nice assortment of simple rings which I wore almost every day last month. It’s a nice change and adds a little something special. It all came down to finding the right sizes which don’t slip off or get in the way. I really like layering a few skinny silver bands to make more of a statement.
