There are very few occasions  in my life I have felt under dressed for, but that doesn’t mean I’m always in formal attire. Far from it – I just feel a lot better going about my day when I look put together, no matter how casual. Fashion has been an important part of my daily routine since childhood (anybody else not let their mom dress them?) and for better or for worse, I don’t like to leave the house without a solid outfit on. Some women won’t be seen in public without make-up, I get dressed up to walk the dog.

Luckily, basic pieces like this slip dress make it easy to create the perfect outfit. I’ve seriously been wearing it non-stop since I got it, and have been amazed at how it works well under/over about half of my wardrobe.

I’m always a sucker for a little sliver of lace bralette peeking out, but for day it’s nice to keep casual and semi-covered up with a hoody and baseball cap. It’s been a minute since I’ve worn booties, but the weather has been really weird lately so I went for it. I spent a laid back afternoon eating nachos in this get-up, so bonus that this dress is nice and roomy.
