A leather jacket is the most versatile outerwear pieces in my wardrobe. If you want the real thing it will set you back a bit, but it truly is a staple for me pretty much year round. I personally love this biker type style and find it wears well with just about everything. The only thing it doesn’t do is look spectacular done up! But I find that’s true with jackets in general, which is half of why fall is so great. 

If you don’t mind a bit of a hunt, you can find some of the best deals (including the one featured in this post) at second hand or consignment stores. The nice thing about a leather jacket is that it will last you a long time, so you can usually find good quality pieces that have been preloved but aren’t worse for the wear. If anything, a broken in leather jacket is a bit of a bonus. 

Anyone else love their leather jacket as much as I do? I love it paired with this kind of preppy skirt and turtleneck for an interesting contrast. I find it’s hard to go wrong with any outfit between black booties and a leather jacket!
