Suede has been one of those 70’s inspired trends that has stuck around the past few seasons, and doesn’t seem to be going anywhere for fall. My old boss had this skirt and I fell in love with it when we went out for dinner last week. I didn’t think I would be into a khaki skirt, but the suede is a really nice update.
The best part is that it’s great now with a white shirt and booties, but can be worn into fall and winter with tights and a darker sweater. I mentioned in my last post the importance of buying things I could wear through multiple seasons, and I’ve really tried to take that heart. It’s particularly true of autumn, when you only get a short window of perfectly crisp weather before the real cold hits.
No matter what season, a red lip is always in style. A bit of colour picks up the all neutral outfit, and I always feel dressed up when I do something special (for me anything not natural looking) with my make up. Even if it does make me look kind of pale, it’s just about time to embrace that anyways. I don’t often wear bold lipstick anymore, but always have fun wearing it when I do.
